Another thing that took a long time was to create this AWESOME
MP3 for you. I think you will recognize it. It is a live
recording from December 18th, 2000, one of the days that shall live in
infamy. Enjoy! It is about 90 seconds long.
Read what others have said in our guestbook!
Read our old archived guestbook from last year.

I know this picture never gets updated. Nothing
interesting happens within reach of the camera cord. Maybe next
week. :) Sorry!

The
webmaster recently realized that she will never be an actress, at least
not in a play, and therefore will never get to write a cute
little
bio and will never get to give an acceptance speech. Therefore, she would
like to thank the following people. Please note that these are random, so
don't feel hurt by your position on the list!
-
Sarah,
who has been there since the beginning, doesn't hold anything from middle
school or high school against me, loves anyone I want her to love, hates
everyone I want her to hate, goes to scary places with me so I'm not quite
as scared, shares her mom with me, and understands my sick love of our years
of high school marching band better than anyone else I know
-
My
parents, for paying for my cell phone, my gas, my insurance, my clothes, my
tuition, my food, my housing, my books, and plane tickets to Nashville even
when they thought they were done with that one, for the never ending supply
of banana muffins,
-
My
brother, for giving me ample opportunity to find rides all over town on the
weekend because what fun would it be if I had a car on campus,
-
The
ancestor that provided me with my genes for music and my sense of direction
(But I'd like to specifically NOT thank the ancestor responsible for my bad
eyes and my good nose)
-
the
girls of 812 who provide a safe haven "far" away, the courage to
buy leather pants, teacher talk, and Dawson's every Wednesday at 8,
-
My
"Methods Podmates" Gill, Mackenzie, Bobbi, and of course Jeanette,
for making life bearable during class, for making 3-D sculptures out of
pattern blocks just to make Betsy mad, for writing lesson plans with me
until the middle of the night, for discovering a cure for cancer in Science
class with me, only to find out it was only a game, to being part of the
best damn paper flower assembly line this side of the Mississippi, to
letting me be a migrant, underpaid, overworked lettuce picker, for letting
me be only 2 degrees of separation from President Bush (even if I don't like
him), for being Jewish with me even though we're Catholic, and for being the
ONLY group of 5, not 4, not 6, but 5,
-
To
my fellow Mt. Pleasant Elementary survivors - Jeanette, Matt, Gill, Pattina
and Kelly, who taught me how to make crafts in 390, how to read kids books
in 310, and for witnessing Mrs. Hudson's class so I know it wasn't all a
good dream,
-
The
Barenaked Ladies, Billy Joel, Jimmy Buffett, and Jonathon Larson for always
providing me with the perfect lyric at the perfect time, for awesome shows,
and great memories,
-
Peter,
for not getting too horribly mad at me when I bug him incessantly, for
always coming back, for answering all my stupid computer questions, for the
best arguments I've ever had, and for being the only other person online at
4:30 or 5:30 in the morning (I suppose I should thank Heather too, for
putting up with us!)
-
My
camp friends, who know the real me better than anyone else on the planet,
since they were there when I figured out who the real me is
-
Steve,
for being the big brother I wish I had, for telling me how it is, straight,
with no padding, since 1992
-
The
UDMB, for giving me a reason to stay at UD in the beginning and making me
all these great friends
-
The
New York Yankees, for giving Mike a chance to wear a more flattering color
than Orange and to win a World Series Ring, a Cy Young award, and a Golden
Glove all in one season
-
The
University of Delaware, for placing everyone who is anyone in Russell D
freshman year, for without your crappy housing system, my life would not be
as cool as it is,
-
Ed
for being someone I can harass on a daily basis, keeps coming back for more,
and gives me just as hard of a time as I give him, and for saying he's going
to teach me how to play golf even if he's joking,
-
The
Internet Movie Database, http://us.imdb.com
, for without it I would never sleep because I would be staring at the ceiling
saying "WHAT movie was that guy in?"
-
Ryan,
for running V8 because I can't even run myself, and for attending almost
every party we've ever thrown,
-
Champion,
USA, for making the best jacket ever invented.
-
Kevin
for being there longer than almost anyone else I know, and for still being
Kevin even though he's engaged,
-
The
WB for Dawson's, which I made fun of for so long but now realize I was only
amused because it's the story of my life, CBS and Mark Burnett for Survivor,
the only show that makes me jump out of my chair and scream, NBC for
Friends, the only show we all agree on, and FOX for Boston Public, the hour
a week that makes me say "At least I don't teach there"
-
Bryan
for being the best friend I can always go to even years later, and even when
we haven't kept in touch for awhile, for giving me my bed back when I need
it, and for providing the false hope that all slot machines can be rigged,
-
The
Vandy Crew, for ample opportunity for amusement on multiple occasions
-
"the
ex" for
helping me realize that I need not settle for anything less than perfect,
-
Miss
Harkness, Mrs. Muchow, Mr. Cservek, Mr. Powell, Mrs. Sacher, and Mrs.
Hudson - The six teachers who made me realize how badly I really do want to
be a teacher even if I have to be up at 3am writing lesson plans
-
My
3rd graders at Mt. Pleasant and my 5th graders at RIS, for being my guinea
pigs,
-
everyone
who puts funny away messages and profiles up on AIM, because it keeps me
sane while I write lesson plans
-
the
Deer Park, for making math class bearable one day at a time
and
of course,
-
Kyle,
for always saying the right thing at the right time and for knowing which
stories I want to know and which ones I don't, for understanding every
single emotion I've gone through in the last four years, for sharing my
hopes and dreams for the future, for dating every military guy in the US
(Including Alaska and Hawaii) so that I don't have to, for giving me the
courage to perm my hair, for introducing us to crazy people, for letting us
graffiti her school legally, for the funniest 2 hours I ever spent at
Vandy, for the weekend that shall live in Infamy and all those that may
follow,
-
"the
boys" - Kevin, Matt, Matty, and Pete - for waking me up every time we
have a middle of the night fire alarm, being kind enough to embarrass me
more in private than in public, for having mothers who make baked goods
without nuts just for me, for not following through on any "great"
ideas they have to ruin my life, for pretending to be interested in every
story I ever tell, for taking road trips with me all over the continental
United States, for presenting us with computer generated images galore, for
the marker, shaving cream, perfume, water, and soap suds fights, and for
trying oh so hard to keep me occupied all of winter session while I was
roomateless,
-
Natalie,
who makes me wish I could fall in love with girls, because she can do all of
the above, wait outside in the cold for me for an hour while I fight with
Betsy, and cook me dinner all in one day.
